Close your eyes and try to recreate the following smells. This exercise helps improve your ability to form concrete impressions from memory.

1. A rotten egg
2. Pumpkin pie
3. Wet dog
4. Freshly cut grass
5. A new car

It is sometimes a curse to have strong mental memories of certain foods, especially something you love. My dad made spaghetti/meatballs better than anyone in the world. :) I am always unhappy w/spaghetti from anyone else, including top restaurants. When I put the fork to my lips, before I have chewed and swallowed, I can instantly tell it doesn't taste like my dad's and I only eat enough to satisfy my hunger pangs. Everytime I tell my dad I ate some more mediocre spaghetti, he breaks out in a big smile and asks if I want him to make me some real spaghetti, to which I always say 'pretty please w/sugar on top'. Life is good and so are dads...
